We ride quality safety is not exlusive

For the last 30 years the development of our Modeka products is based on three important elements:

Protection, Weather, Comfort.

We combine these elementary criteria in one product and conceptualize our products according to the most modern technical standards.

Only the perfect combination of safety-relevant materials, weather protection and wearing comfort makes it possible to concentrate on what is important: Driving.

Maybe our biggest achievement: We manage to produce protective clothing at a fair price, making it affordable for everyone.

This is where we pay close attention to quality, functional details, and an appealing design at a fair price: This way every motorcyclist can be optimally dressed during daily drives – the whole year round: Be it during extreme adventures, the daily commute, or a hobby cruise on Sunday morning. A promise we can keep with our certified products and thoughtful innovation.

We ride many sizes

We ride many sizes

The right fit is the linchpin of a save ride. It is hard to concentrate on the road and traffic if the fit is not perfect. Your suit should not pinch of wave around too much. It simply must fit right. Humans aren’t built identically and have all kinds of different figures. Developing a product that fits almost everyone is the true art.

We face this challenge by testing our products on many bodies, not just one. For us there is more than just one figure. We are very proud of our wide range of sizes.

Overall, we offer more than 63 clothing sizes: Short, long as well as regular sizes for both men and women.

If our range does not include the right size for your particular case: The clothing technicians at our in-house workshop can adjust our products to your liking.

(We develop every Modeka product in-house at our Modeka headquarters in Beckum (Westphalia, Germany). From the first idea to product launch. This process takes multiple months.)

We ride women power

The amount of active female motorcyclists grows constantly.

It was custom in the motorcycle industry that women’s clothing was adapted from men’s products. This changed a few decades ago and luckily these times are over!

It is very important to us to offer a separate collection for women.

We don’t look at women’s clothing as a niche product.

Our design team in Beckum puts all its woman power into the products.

Here we pay close attention to the typical lady problems. Our products aren’t too bulky, and you should feel comfortable wearing them.

Protruding waistbands, curvy hips, busts, and machines that are too big – these are topics we already worked on in our Women Collection.

Take a look.

WE RIDE with protection

Protectors are the true heroes during a crash. Protectors are the only crumble zone that protects us motorcyclists in a crash.

A protector’s function can be explained by the diffusion of forces on a larger area. Especially back protectors work by spreading the forces to a wider area during an impact. This way a crash can cause much less damage on a focused point. To serve this function a protector should have a hard and rigid surface.

The protectors we use fulfil the EN 1621-1 (joint protectors) and EN 1621-2 (back protectors) certification standard. These standards are once again divided into two levels of protection: Protection Level 1 absorbs the remaining forces up to 18 kN. Protection Level 2 absorbs an additional higher attenuation of up to 9kN, making it the better protection level.

But protectors can only help when they sit properly. That is why we recommend getting advice from a specialist. Because everyone has a different body size, elbow and knee protectors should be checked in particular.

Basic protection for jackets

Basic protection for jackets

Shoulder and elbow protectors are a must-have for us. We work together with multiple protector brands who have been tested and verified for Protection Level 1 and 2. You can find this information in the descriptions of our jackets. It is important to us that elbow protectors sit in the right place and protect your joint in a crash. For this reason, elbow protectors can be adjusted in height in many of our jackets.

Of course, every jacket can be upgraded with a back protector by our German partner SAS-TEC®. The lining in our jackets has a specific pocket for this very reason. The shape of the protectors varies with jacket type and target demographic. Please pay attention to the recommendations in the product description.

Basic protection for pants

Basic protection for pants

We think knee protectors are essential for textile pants and jeans. Just like in jackets, we implement different protector brands and Protection Levels depending on price point and use case. It is important to us that knee protectors sit in the right place and protect your joint in a crash. For this reason, knee protectors can be adjusted in height in many of our pants.

Of course, every pair of pants can be upgraded with a hip protector thanks to an extra pocket on both sides of the hip right underneath the waistband. The product description will tell you which hip protector fits perfectly into your pants.

Full protection for jackets

We don’t make compromises in our Modeka Adventure Collection and have determined two must-have protectors:

We use the best protection level of the EN 1621-1:2012 standard for shoulders, elbows and back. No matter which adventure you are planning, we use the best 3D-protectors out of viscoelastic flexible foam with exceptional shock absorption values by our German partner SAS-TEC®.

We also include a long SAS-TEC® back protector in our adventure jackets. The length of the protector grows with the size of the jacket to optimally protect your back and neck area. We recommend that your jacket should fit tightly to prevent it from shifting during a crash.

Full protection for pants

Full protection for pants

The textile pants in the Adventure Collection are equipped with the complete protector package – no compromises. Just like with our jackets, our Adventure pants fulfil our very clear safety conditions:

We work together with the German brand SAS-TEC®. Their multi-impact compliance and adaptive absorption are absolute benefits.

Knee protectors with the highest Protection Level are used. They are height adjustable with the use of a Velcro fastener. Hip protectors are placed at the hips as well. Here we are still using Protection Level 1. Protection Level 2 for hips was just introduced in early 2021. Of course, the protectors can be removed and replaced.

Safety must not be expensive
We make adventures possible. Adventure is not Haute couture. We are resilient, durable, and reliable. It is our responsibility to provide our customers with the highest safety. This is a promise we can keep thanks to thoughtful innovation and the use of high-end materials.

High-quality and resilient materials
are part of our brand’s history. We have been equipping the police and military with our products since our company’s inception. A great fit for every requirement, agility even in extreme situations and the most resilient materials are part of our brand’s DNA. Form follows function.

The high standards we set for our products translate directly into a strong design language. Noticeably high-quality materials combine with agility and innovation to form a look that does not just work on a motorcycle. Our design language is a statement. Robust, rough, cool and indestructible. Our clothing is a lifestyle.

WE RIDE WITH KNOW-HOW

The development of our Modeka products is based on real experience.

With our tireless urge to improve what is already good, we implement feedback to develop our Modeka products further.

We closely work together with kilometre gobblers and extreme adventurers to test our products under all kinds of conditions. Challenges like extreme temperatures and weather are the perfect endurance test to get feedback about our gear.

This way we know what works well and what needs improvement.

We are good listeners and implement suggestions quickly. We study the market and recognize the needs of motorcyclists.

Our goal is clear: We constantly want to optimize our collection and keep the technical solutions that proved in the past. Year after year product development has advanced with innovations in comfort, adaptations to weather and protection without compromises.

We ride certified products

When we develop our products we combine protection, weather, and comfort.

We develop all our products in-house at our Modeka Headquarters in Beckum (NRW, Germany) and work together closely with test drivers in a months-long process. Here we conduct detailed tests for weather protection and comport and make sure the products fulfil our standards before they even hit the market.

Protection heavily relies on the use of protectors, the choice of material and the manufacturing itself. External test laboratories test the materials and manufacturing processes for us. This test is based on a CE-Certification about which we want to talk about a bit more here:

Clothing for motorcyclists – jackets, pants, boots, gloves, protectors – have been defined as Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) by the European Union in 2018. The standard which regulates the PPE for hobby motorcycle clothing is called EN 17092. This standard includes the CE-Certification which means that a piece of clothing has been tested to fulfil the safety requirements for your hobby and protect you from injuries.

The idea is that you get something really safe when you buy a new piece of gear – without having to be an expert in materials and safety features yourself. Tests are conducted in external laboratories, mostly in Italy.

Following aspects get tested to ensure the safety of your gear: Determination of abrasion resistance, seam strength, rip resistance, shape stability and health safety.

Every Modeka product developed since 2019 is CE-Certified according to the EN 17092 (gloves EN 13594, boots EN 13634). We at Modeka do not just want to offer innovative motorcycling gear with a beautiful design, but we are also doing our best to protect you from the results of a crash. For this reason, we take the CE-Certification very seriously.

You can identify CE-certification with the help of the following labels: In our product description, on the label inside the product and on the pamphlet attached to the product.

We ride certified products

Wearing CE-certified clothing is not obligatory yet, but in France, for example, it is compulsory to wear certified gloves. The rest is up to you. How you are dressed on your motorcycle is your own decision.

But we have seen many things and would urge you to get the maximum amount of protection when you are driving your motorcycle.

So, drive safely!
