We are still stuck in winter – in this Corona winter, in which small escapes feel like big adventures. But where there is life, there is hope and the anticipation grows. Our dreams of spring and summer are bigger than ever. Our nostalgia for Bolivia fills our mind with pictures.
There is always something to do – the motto that lets us hibernate peacefully – preferably on a motorcycle. Some distance from all the news and numbers that have been hitting us over the head for a year now. All you can hear is your own breath and the whirring of your machine. Only 3 degrees above zero? The cold cannot ruin this feeling of freedom.
Tomorrow – Sunshine, speed, and South America
The road awaits us. Our first high of spring. It awaits the excitement we have been saving up all winter. Just for this moment. We have never felt so fast before, so light, so strong, so euphoric. Winter is over.
The day after tomorrow – the destination we have been dreaming of: Who would have guessed that we would be longing for the mountains this much? That they may become out of reach from one day to another? We will see each other again, maybe even this summer. And we will cherish every corner.
A peek into the Moppedhikers’ (Nicki and Moe) journey to Bolivia two years ago. The pair is in Mexico right now and we will tell you more about them soon. Corona has not stopped them from fulfilling their dream of exploring South America and we think that is remarkable.
