WE RIDE VIPER LT

The Viper LT is our first laminate construction. You may know that we at Modeka are true fans of 3in1 builds. We still are. But laminate clothing also has some advantages that we do not want to miss in our collection. We were surprised how well laminate can work after we finished our first test drives with it.

Both constructions – be it 3in1 or laminate – have their right to stay. Your plans and driving styles determine which construction suits you best.

UNDERSTANDING LAMINATE

The material is a 2-layered laminate. The outer layer is our popular Tactel® material, a smooth polyamide fabric. The inner layer is the Humax® membrane, which protects you from moisture with its 10,000 mm water column while keeping its breathability.

Both layers combine through laminating and become “one” material – the laminate.

As a 2in1 product, the Viper LT jackets also comes with a removable thermal jacket. In this case we included a black, full-fledged quilted jacket, which can also be worn away from the motorcycle. The pants include a removable quilted thermal lining.

THE ADVANTAGES

LIGHTWEIGHT.

The Viper LP combination is an absolute lightweight sensation. Compared to 3in1 products the Viper LT weights around 25% less.

THE MATERIAL DOES NOT ABSORB MOISTURE
Water simply drips off the surface thanks to the laminate and it cannot soak up water like ordinary materials. This causes the Viper LP to dry much faster as well.

ABSOLUTELY SMOOTH.
Many associate laminates with loud and hard materials. That is why we exclusively work with our soft and tear resistant Tactel® material, which stand for unsurpassed wearing comfort.

AFFORDABLE.
Laminates tend to be rather expensive. We at Modeka want to produce motorcycling clothes at a fair price that makes them affordable for everyone. Here we pay close attention to quality, functional details, and appealing designs.

EASY TO UNDERSTAND
2in1 can do just as much as 3in1, but it is much simpler to understand. Close your jacket, waterproof, done.

WHAT ELSE MAKES THE VIPER LT SPECIAL

All-round protectors.

We do not make compromises when it comes to safety with our Viper LT suits. They come equipped with the complete protector package by our German partner brand SAS-TEC®. Protectors for shoulders, elbows, back, hips and knees – all Protection Level 2 (except for hips) – are included.

Gloves over or underneath the sleeves? Decide yourself.

The innovative stretch sleeves give you all the options. They are also really comfortable.

The Viper LT protects your machine.
The inside of your Viper LT pants is covered with soft leather. No seam can scratch your machine here. The leather also provides more grip when you drive standing up.

NO BURNS FROM YOUR HOT MACHINE.It is a standard for our Adventure pants to use a DuPont™ KEVLAR® material around the calves. This special material is fire-resistant and is also used in the firefighting industry. It is included to protect the material from the heat of the exhaust.

Lots of waterproof storage space.
You can find 4 waterproof outside pockets on your suit.
You can recognize our waterproof pockets at the “100 % waterproof” label in the pocket’s lining.

Functionable waterproof ventilation.
Within your suit you will find 6 ventilation zippers in the front and 6 in the back. We source all our zippers from YKK®. They are strong, water-resistant, and rain laminated. To guarantee absolute waterproofness of the ventilation areas we cover every zipper with a laminate flap and a sealing rubber on the inside. This new construction has proven itself as guaranteed waterproof in our countless test drives.

Ready to go during spring and autumn.
Our test drivers rated the Viper LT with a recommended temperature of 5 °C and above. The laminate combination works best during mild weather. The Viper LT perfectly covers the most typical motorcycling season between Easter and October.

We are very proud to have introduced our laminate combination Viper LT into the medium-priced market segment. Its light weight makes the combination an all-rounder for everyone who want to feel secure that it stays sealed during the rain. The combination is perfectly constructed for spring and autumn. It cools due to its breathability and the ventilation zippers strategically circulate the airstream around the body. The outer material is soft and snug around the wearer’s body. An absolute comfort recommendation.

PRESS FEEDBACK

Two magazines have tested the Viper LT already.

“Motorrad und Reisen” tested it in its 99/2020 issue. The test driver put countless km behind him wearing the light-grey Viper LT. His conclusion: “This can hardly be any better. Its exceptional protection and well-thought-out features make the Viper LT a recommendation for wild weather.” The test rewarded the Viper LT a ‘VERY GOOD‘.

“Motorrad News” took a closer look in its comparison of all-round suits.

Their conclusion for the Viper LT: “Ready to go – the Modeka Viper LT comes bundled with a complete protector kit and removable suspenders. The inner lining can be worn as a stand-alone jacket. The suit’s leather reinforcements at the inside of the legs are directly geared towards adventurers. We especially like its elasticity, which leaves enough mobility despite its slim fit. The stretch material at the collar and wrists is very comfortable, too. The Tactel material is not too stiff, despite its 750 denier fibres and laminated membrane.” The Viper LT managed to convince and received the “Motorcycle News Tipp”

INTERESTING:
Motorrad News weighed the suit after a simulated ride through the rain. Our Viper LT showed a water absorption of just 7 % - the lowest absorption in the entire test. We think that is convincing.
